The short explanation of this alert was:

The Bush Administration is rushing to finalize plans for a vast area of Utah to energy development and up to 17,000 miles of off road vehicle trails. Some of those trails lead directly into national parks, roadless areas, fragile wildlands and places where ancient Ancestral Puebloan ruins are vulnerable to looting and vandalism.  Some members of Congress are attempting to stop this senseless move.  Please ask your congressional member to take a strong stand for Utah's wilderness.
