The short explanation of this alert was:

The Army Corps of Engineers and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service are proposing to bulldoze a road into the Izembek National Wildlife Refuge, habitat for hundreds of thousands of migratory birds, as well as caribou and brown bear.  The action would threaten the area's abundant wildlife.  There are alternatives, cheaper and less destructive. 

Please tell the agencies that you oppose plans to build a road into the Izembek Refuge and urge them to select the cheaper, safer, less damaging alternatives.
