Help Protect Wilderness!
The Forest Service is failing to protect critical landscapes the agency has recommended for permanent wilderness protection.
Until Congress acts upon these wilderness recommendations, the Forest Service is charged with managing these areas to maintain their wilderness character. Unfortunately, the agency has not been fulfilling this commitment. Millions of acres of agency-recommended wilderness lands remain open to off-road vehicle use and other activities that degrade the wilderness values of the areas.
Congressman Raul Grijalva of Arizona is circulating a letter to the Forest Service Chief asking for a new policy on managing the agency's recommended wilderness.
Please ask your Representative to support Congressman Grijalva's effort by signing on to his letter.
