The short explanation of this alert was:

In September, the U.S. Senate is expected to take up major legislation that will finally help address global warming by making polluters pay for the greenhouse gases they put into the atmosphere. Such legislation will also create a clean energy infrastructure and jobs for Americans.

With your past help, the legislation has already been passed in the House, but Big Oil and King Coal have been working round the clock to make sure it fails in the Senate. Don't let that happen!
